Dr. Terry Gomez holds a PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health & Development Disorders and holds a graduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is Licensed in Mental Health Counseling in New York and is Nationally Certified as a Child-Parent Psychotherapist. Her training is trauma-focused and attachment-based.


Since 2020, Dr. Terry Gomez has exclusively focused her work on children and families who experienced traumatic experiences as well as supporting new parents with their transition into parenthood. She is passionate about early intervention and providing support to vulnerable populations. Dr. Gomez served as a Perinatal Mental Health Consultant for New York City Hospitals and currently the Administrative Director of an Early Childhood Program in Upper Manhattan. She has over 15 years working with children and families in various capacities and settings. Her private practice focuses on supporting mental health services for the entire family unit.

Family Systems Therapy

We will work together to understand the function of the family unit and explore the behaviors of all members.

Interpersonal Therapy

Used to treat mood disorders, improve interpersonal relationships and social functioning, and role transitions.

Behavioral Therapy 

This approach focuses on learning ways to change behavioral reactions and patterns that cause distress.
